Zuzanna Czebatul, in conversation with Devrim Bayar
Sans titre is thrilled to participate in Horizons, the new section at Art Brussels 2026, curated by Devrim Bayar, with a monumental installation by Zuzanna Czebatul. Titled T-Kollaps, the work unfolds as an immersive environment composed of inflated architectural fragments, evoking the ruins of a classical order rendered fragile and unstable. Made of transparent thermoplastic polyethylene, these column-like forms appear both monumental and precarious, as if caught in a state of suspension between construction and collapse. By translating the language of permanence and authority into a material associated with air, play, and ephemerality, Czebatul subverts the symbolic weight of architectural power. T-Kollaps thus proposes a shifting landscape where history, spectacle, and decay intertwine, aligning with the curatorial framework of Horizons, which foregrounds speculative narratives and alternative readings of the present.
The installation has previously been presented in different contexts, notably at Gdańska Galeria Miejska in 2019, at Somerset House in London the same year, and more recently at the Bally Foundation in Lugano (2024–2025).
